Venice Sun Fiesta

The Venice Sun Fiesta is one of the city’s most beloved and long-standing traditions, bringing together locals and visitors for a fun-filled weekend celebrating the spirit of Venice. Sponsored by the Women’s Sertoma Club of Venice, this family-friendly festival features live music, arts and crafts vendors, delicious food, a beer and wine garden, a children’s area, and one of the most unique traditions of the event: the bed races down Venice Avenue. Other highlights include a parade, student entertainment, and local performances throughout the weekend.

Whether you’re looking to shop, dance, eat, or just soak up the local flavor, the Venice Sun Fiesta offers something for everyone.

Sarasota Memorial Day Parade

Join the Sarasota community in honoring the men and women who gave their lives in service to the United States during the Sarasota Memorial Day Parade, held annually on Memorial Day. The patriotic procession features marching bands, local veterans’ groups, ROTC units, scouts, first responders, and community organizations.

The parade route travels west along Main Street in downtown Sarasota, beginning at Osprey Avenue and ending near Bayfront Park, where a ceremony takes place immediately following the parade. The event is family-friendly, free to attend, and a meaningful way to pay tribute to those who have served and sacrificed.

Be sure to arrive early for the best viewing spots and bring flags or wear red, white, and blue to show your support.

The parade will travel south down Sumter Blvd., ending at the City Center Front Green.
