Sarasota has been home since 1988. For more than twenty years, I’ve helped families make confident real estate decisions throughout Sarasota and Manatee counties.
Sarasota Lifestyle grew out of one of the most challenging seasons our community has faced.
From 2007 to 2012, our local economy was hit hard. Homes lost value. Jobs disappeared. Families faced short sales, foreclosures, divorce, illness, and financial stress.
I started Sarasota Lifestyle on November 14, 2012, as a simple way to focus on what is good, colorful, and hopeful about the place we love.

During the crash years, I worked with many families facing short sales and foreclosure. One evening, after a long day of difficult conversations, I came home heavy with it all.
My wife looked at me and said:
That reset me. It clarified what mattered. It reminded me that behind every real estate decision is a real life.
That moment is part of why Sarasota Lifestyle exists — to focus on what’s good, to offer perspective, and to help however I can.
What started as a simple blog in 2012 slowly grew into something much larger.
Over the years Sarasota Lifestyle expanded from a few local stories into a resource covering neighborhoods, events, restaurants, beaches, relocation information, and the everyday experiences that make Sarasota unique.
Today Sarasota Lifestyle reaches thousands of readers each month and serves as both a community resource and a guide for people considering a move to the area.
